Terms of Service Crorepati

There are 100 spots on The Crorepati, herein referred to as a ‘Crorepati spot’. There will never be more or less than 100 Crorepati spots. The minimum purchase is one Crorepati spot. The maximum purchase one may make is whatever is left.
A Crorepati spot consists of several elements:

Image – This is the image visible on the main page
Pop up – This is 25 words that will come up when someone hovers over your image on the main page. The 25 word description is determined by the owner of the Crorepati spot.
Crorepati profile – When clicking on the image from the main page, this takes you to more detailed information about the Crorepati spot owner. This will include web links to the Crorepati spots’ company, charitable organizations, etc
Url link – Instead of a Crorepati profile, the Crorepati spot owner can choose to link directly to a website url of their choice

When you 'buy' a Crorepati spot, your purchase will give you exclusivity over your Crorepati spot through 2012.
TheCrorepati.com’s content maybe hosted at other sites or other sites may forward to TheCrorepati.com to drive additional exposure to those who buy Crorepati spots. The purchasers of the site are guaranteed to have their spot on TheCrorepati.com through 2012.
The image visible on the site can be any graphic you’d like (in jpeg or gif format). No animations allowed. It can be a picture of you, your company logo, your family, etc – anything you want. The image you submit cannot be lewd, hateful, offensive or infringe on existing trademarks or copyrights or the property of any kind of someone else. TheCrorepati.com reserves the right to determine what is acceptable for the site. If an image or content is deemed unacceptable, we will give the owner of the Crorepati spot an opportunity to submit another image that is acceptable.
You are certifying that the images and content you provide are true and yours and do not infringe upon any trademarks, copyrights, etc. Ultimately, you agree that any liability emerging from any misstatements or infringement is yours and not the responsibility of TheCrorepati.com or any affiliated sites.
You cannot change the image, pop up, link and/or profile content once you have submitted it and it is being processed for your Crorepati spot. In essence, you must be sure at the time of submission. These will be visible as you’ve submitted them through 2012. The only exception is if you have a strong reason why you need a change to your image/link, i.e., your site no longer exists, major structural change to your site, lawsuits, etc. Any such changes will be charged to you as requisite. If you cannot pay for such changes, your spot will remain as is or if you choose, it can be taken down. You will not receive a refund under any circumstances.
If the contents of your Crorepati spot are accepted for TheCrorepati.com, you cannot get a refund.
The site and homepage will be online for 6+ years (starting from the day it launched) through the end of 2012, but possibly even longer. Our aim is to maintain the site as long as possible as a sort of internet time capsule and a way to celebrate successful Indians.
If your Crorepati spot and associated content (pop up text, profile and/or website url) is accepted and you later change the content of the linked sites to show offensive/obscene/hateful material, your link will be removed until you provide a new one, and you will not get a refund of any kind for the links downtime.
If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and link removed from the homepage, you can do that, but you will not get a refund and the space will become publicly available again
Images will be optimized to fit in the squares on the main page. The same image will appear on your Crorepati profile and it will be optimized to be visible there as well.
Links must be to web pages only that begin with http://
You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the website you submit
Funds must be fully received and cleared before your Crorepati spot goes live on the homepage
There might be occasional downtime for site maintenence but we will try and keep these to a minimum
Once you have ordered a spot and the funds have cleared (eg. in our PayPal or bank account) and we have the requisite information from you (profile details, image, pop up text), we will aim to get your Crorepati spot online within 2 business days.
